ANA offers a unique and
memorable wedding ceremony to seven couples
Wedding bells sounded a little different this year for seven couples who were starting their marriage journey together in a unique and different way. They got married on an ANA aircraft with a ceremony officiated by the ANA captain. The ceremonies, which were held in the B777-300ER Business Class cabin, were attended by a limited number of guests with the wedding party taking place inside the airport terminal.
The idea for “The WEDDING with ANA” came from an ANA employee as part of an internal brainstorming competition to come up with innovative ways to use the parked aircraft. ANA partnered with Hasegawa S.T., a wedding planning company, for their expertise and experience. Including the bride and groom, each guest was given the boarding pass for the Weddings marked with “NH8888 to Milan.” Eight is a lucky number in Japanese culture. Milan is known to be the birthplace of the “June Bride” tradition, making it a popular month to get married.
ANA hopes “The WEDDING with ANA” becomes a precious lifetime memory for these fortunate seven couples and for all who are yearning to take to the skies once again.
