ANA Honors Top Airport Teams at
18th ANA Quality Awards
ANA's Beijing and Niigata airport teams are recognized for exceptional standard of service for their commitment to quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
The 18th ANA Quality Awards were hosted on July 1, 2024, recognizing ANA airport teams for their initiatives to maintain and improve the quality of service and customer satisfaction.
For the first time in four years, the AQAs included teams from international routes, with representatives from all of ANA's global gateways participating in the ceremony. Approximately 300 participants from 92 ANA domestic and international gateways gathered in Tokyo to commemorate their achievements over the last fiscal year.
Airport teams are evaluated in three main categories: “Safety and Security”, “On-time Performance” and “Comfort and Convenience.” Each evaluation involves various metrics, including the number of on-time arrivals, feedback from daily passenger surveys and the frequency of incidents.
Airport teams are ranked based on their scores in each category, with the highest-scoring domestic and international ANA gateway teams receiving “The Best Quality Airport” award.
Beijing: The Best Quality International Airport
This year, ANA's Beijing Airport (PEK) team was presented with “The Best Quality Airport” award in the international division, recognized for their commitment to elevating the quality of service and customer satisfaction for passengers flying through Beijing.
The team received the highest total score among all of ANA's international gateways, ranking first in the categories of “Safety and Security” and “Comfort and Convenience.”
Filled with pride, Zhuo Wang, section manager for passenger services at ANA PEK, spoke at the awards ceremony about this milestone and what the future holds for her team.
“The ANA PEK team will continue to handle each and every flight with utmost care. We will keep working together as a team to achieve even greater success,” Wang said.
Niigata: The Best Quality Domestic Airport
For domestic operations, the ANA Niigata Airport (KIJ) team was honored with the title “The Best Quality Airport.” The Niigata team ranked first in their group for “Safety and Security” and “On-time Performance,” receiving the highest total score among all domestic gateways in Japan.
During the awards ceremony, Ayaka Honma of Niigata Air Service Co. Ltd., ANA Airport Team, spoke about what teamwork means to her colleagues.
“Reflecting on the last year, I think our strong teamwork is what helped us overcome challenges, such as staffing. We highly value our work as a team and will continue to strive for the best,” Honma said.
Future
Looking ahead, the ANA Group will continue to elevate its standards of customer service while maintaining safety as the top priority. The annual ANA Quality Awards gives airport teams the opportunity to reflect on and be proud of their work, driving forward ANA's goal of increasing customer satisfaction to bring a new level of comfort to air travel.
