for the Fourth Consecutive Year!

TOKYO, Dec. 18, 2024 - All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest 5-Star airline for 11 consecutive years, earned the "Best Workplace"*1 certification in the D&I AWARD 2024 for the fourth year in a row. This award, sponsored by JobRainbow, Inc., is Japan's largest diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) certification.

Established in 2021, the D&I AWARD evaluates companies operating in Japan across 100 DEI-related criteria, focusing on LGBTQ+, gender, disability, multicultural conviviality and childcare/caregiving. ANA's comprehensive DEI initiatives have consistently earned high marks since the start of the award.

"The ANA Group celebrates our DEI initiatives that cultivate leaders for sustainable growth, cater to diverse customers and empower employees to thrive in the workplace," said Junko Yazawa, Executive Vice President Group CDO (Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer), Corporate Communications & Branding. "This recognition reinforces our belief that fostering an inclusive workplace fuels innovation and growth."

On Dec. 9., ANA held its 10th annual DEI Forum, themed "Let's Update!" The event, broadcast online and viewed at approximately 30 ANA business locations, engaged roughly 1,400 employees. Key sessions included:

"Can DEI be a catalyst for new business?"
"Generational differences in values regarding ways of working"
"ANA Group from the DEI Survey*2 "

*1 The Best Workplace certification is awarded to companies achieving a score of 81-100, demonstrating a robust DEI philosophy integrated into all aspects of the business and extending its positive influence externally.
*2 ANA has been conducting a survey on the awareness of ANA Group employees specialized in DEI promotion since 2021.

  • ● Gender Equality - Diversification of Decision - Making Layers: ANA Group set a target of increasing the ratio of female directors and managers to 30% or more as early as possible in the 2020s.
