AirJapan Now Supports QR Code Payments!

  • ・As of August 27th 2024, AirJapan has introduced QR code payment in addition to credit card payment when purchasing air tickets on the AirJapan website.
  • ・QR code payments are also supported for Thailand, South Korea and Japan. (*)

Tokyo, Aug. 27th , 2024 (JST) AirJapan has launched support for QR code payment services in addition to credit cards for flight tickets, reservations for in-flight meals and other paid optional services. QR code payments are also supported on site in Thailand, South Korea and Japan.
AirJapan will continue to expand its support for smooth payment experiences to meet diversifying customer needs as our cashless society continues to evolve.

  • 1. Payment Methods per Country

New payment methods are also supported for Thailand, South Korea and Japan. PromptPay is supported in Thailand, KakaoPay is supported in South Korea and PayPay is supported in Japan. We will expand in the future according to the payment methods in each country.

  • * The above payment methods may be used for flight tickets and paid optional services.
  • * At the airport counter, passengers may use the above payment methods from their own devices.
  • 2. In-scope Services

The new payment methods may be used for the following services.

  • (2)Paid optional services*1
    • ・ Designated seat reservation
    • ・ Checked baggage fees
    • ・ "Pre-purchase menu" in-flight meal requests
