ANA HOLDINGS Named to CDP Climate Change 'A List' for the Second Consecutive Year and as the Only Airline Group in the World

TOKYO, Feb. 8, 2024 - ANA HOLDINGS INC. (hereinafter "ANA HD") has been recognized for leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change by global environmental non-profit CDP*, being named on its annual 'A List' for the second consecutive year. Among the companies selected this year, ANA HD is the only airline group in the world to be selected for two consecutive years.
Through the ANA Future Promise initiative, ANA invests in and supports actions to minimize climate change and prioritized this focus as one of the most important strategic imperatives. ANA HD has established climate transition strategies to become carbon neutral by FY2050 and meet preceding milestones. Our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions in aircraft operations are centered on three pillars:
- • Utilize SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) through initiatives with stakeholders;
- • Operational improvements; and
- • Introduction of fuel-efficient aircraft.
To ensure we are meeting our commitments, we set a target to reduce CO2 emissions and obtained science-based targets (SBT) certification. Also, we have published the results of our scenario analysis of the impact of climate change on the ANA Group business, in line with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
* CDP is an independent global non-profit founded in 2000,that runs the world's environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states and regions. In 2023, over 740 financial institutions with over US$136 trillion in assets in procurement spend requested companies to disclose data on environmental impacts, risks and opportunities through CDP's platform. A record-breaking 23,000 companies responded.
