ANA Announces Updates to the Flight Schedule Due to
Inspection of Pratt & Whitney's 1100G-JM Engines
- • ANA has received instructions from engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney (P&W) and will begin to perform inspections of the PW1100G-JM engines installed on the A320neo and A321neo aircraft in January 2024.
- • As a result of the inspection work, approximately 30 flights per day will be reduced on domestic and international routes starting January 10, 2024 through March 30, 2024. Flight reduction rate is 3.6%.
- • To minimize inconvenience for our customers, reduced flight schedules will mainly be prioritized on routes with alternate flights available on the same day.
- • Customers with reservations subject to the flight reduction will be notified to change flights, or receive a refund for the flight at no charge.
- • For some domestic routes subject to flight reduction, Star Flyer and Solaseed Air will operate 134 additional flights. These additional flights will be available as codeshared flights with ANA.
- • Operational impact of the inspections from March 31, 2024 will be announced in the FY2024 business plan set to be released at end of January.
TOKYO, Oct. 31, 2023 - All Nippon Airways (ANA) will begin to perform inspections*1 of the PW1100G-JM engines installed on the A320neo and A321neo aircraft in January 2024 in accordance with directives from the engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney (hereinafter "P&W"). As some aircraft will be temporarily out of operations due to this inspection work, ANA will reduce flights on select domestic and international routes from January 10, 2024 to March 30, 2024. Approximately 30 flights per day will be reduced, resulting in a reduction rate*2 of 3.6%. Reduced flight schedules will mainly be prioritized on routes where alternate flights are available on the same day, such as Haneda=Itami and Fukuoka, and Haneda=Seoul (Gimpo).

Starting today, customers with reservations subject to the flight reduction will be contacted with timely notifications via e-mail or telephone. Flight changes or refunds can be made at no charge through the ANA mobile application, the ANA website, or the ANA Reservation and Customer Service Center. Customers who purchased their tickets through travel agencies will be contacted by the respective travel agencies. For some domestic routes subject to flight reduction, Star Flyer and Solaseed Air will operate 134 additional flights. These additional flights will be available as codeshared flights with ANA.
The safety of our passengers and crews is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor the situation and take appropriate measures as necessary. The operational impact of the inspections from March 31, 2024 will be announced in the FY2024 business plan set to be released at end of January.
