TOKYO, March 25, 2020 - All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest and 5-Star airline for seven consecutive years, welcomes the addition of a range of new services at Haneda Airport Terminal 2 international area beginning on March 29, 2020. These new services include three new lounges, self-service baggage drops and enhanced security check procedures. Furthermore, since some ANA international flights will be departing from or arriving to the same terminal as the domestic flights, passengers who have connections will be able to transit more smoothly. The upgraded services will offer premium convenience and comfort to all passengers, helping ANA maintain its reputation for smart, streamlined travel and unrivaled hospitality.

"ANA is always looking for opportunities to improve the passenger experience, and the coming changes at Haneda will make using the airport more convenient and comfortable for all ANA passengers," said Masaki Yokai, Senior Vice President of ANA. "The three revamped lounges underscore ANA's commitment to superior comfort and culinary excellence and the new technological features at Haneda will also be a significant step forward. ANA's new lounges, named "ANA SUITE LOUNGE", "ANA LOUNGE" and "ANA ARRIVAL LOUNGE" was designed by the renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, aligning with the "ichigo ichie" (treasure every encounter as if it were once in a lifetime) design concept that was also used in the design of new ANA's new lounges in Narita International Airport.

The coming changes to Haneda Airport will help ANA maintain its reputation as a leader in international travel, and improve its ability to offer heightened service to a wider range of passengers.

SELF-SERVICE BAGGAGE DROP
Starting March 29, 2020, self-service baggage drops will be available for those traveling on international ANA flights out of Haneda Airport Terminal 2. These advanced machines will streamline the baggage check-in process and make it easier for passengers to prepare for their flights. For the number of tourists are increasing in Japan, the devices will feature language support in Japanese, English, Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified), Korean, French and German, a total of seven languages. The airport will have 13 machines on the third floor departure lobby, for a total of 26 self-service baggage drop off lanes.

ENHANCED SECURITY CHECK MACHINES WITH SMART LANE
The security area will be streamlined through the use of smart, efficient lanes that are capable of simultaneously meeting the needs of four passengers as they prepare for screening. There will be ten lanes in total and it aims to shorten the passenger's wait time.

INTRODUCTION OF NEW CHECK-IN COUNTERS TO MEET DIVERSE PASSENGER NEEDS

In order to meet a wide range of passenger needs, ANA will introduce different types of check-in counters. ANA's First Class passengers and Diamond members will have exclusive access to a private check-in counter. In addition, steps have been taken to streamline check-in for passengers who need special assistance with the inclusion of wheelchair accessible counter space that increases convenience to passengers with disabilities.

Haneda Terminal 2 ANA International Departure and Arrival Lounges
Inspired by Japanese heritage, the new lounges will incorporate traditional architectural design and the use of natural blue colors, ambient lighting and traditional art.
With approximately 1300 combined seats, the lounges will be among the largest in Japan. Both the ANA SUITE LOUNGE and the ANA LOUNGE are open from 5:00 until the last flight of the day departs.

ANA SUITE LOUNGE
With 360 seats, the new "ANA SUITE LOUNGE" is large and spacious. It delicately balances traditional Japanese design with modern influences, with metal mesh partitions inspired by Japan's famous shoji partitions. These elegant partitions divide the lounge into several distinct areas while preserving a unified theme.

  • ・LIVE Kitchen (3rd floor)
    The LIVE Kitchen will have actual chef present to prepare passenger orders right in front of them. The morning menu will include a selection of omelets with a choice of toppings and a dinner selection of nigiri sushi, prepared freshly by a skilled sushi chef with carefully selected ingredients. This luxury dining area also offers a noddle bar, a la carte dishes and a traditional restaurant-style dining area called "DINING h."
  • ・BAR Area (4th floor)
    The addition of a bar makes this the first ANA SUITE LOUNGE with a bar counter where passengers can sit in front of a barista or a bartender. In the morning hours, beverage such as coffee and espresso will be freshly made by the barista and in afternoon, a bartender will prepare a drink menu consisting of over 20 cocktails, wine, Japanese sake and more.
  • ・NAPPING Area (4th floor)
    A new napping area with six beds and five reclining chairs will offer guests the opportunity to rest while waiting for their flight. Adjacent to the napping area is a private area with booths featuring televisions so that guests can relax and enjoy entertainment of their choice.
  • ・EXCLUSIVE Entrance (4th floor)
    The lounge's exclusive reception area will feature a traditional Japanese garden and a bamboo forest, creating a calm and spacious atmosphere for guests to enjoy. The reception will also include wheelchair accessible counter space to provide convenience for passengers with disabilities.

ANA LOUNGE
The spacious new "ANA LOUNGE" will accommodate up to 900 guests, with an open layout surrounded by windows allowing for plenty of natural light to enter the space.

    At the buffet area, chefs will be present to cook the meals as they are served. The buffet will also feature a noodle bar.
  • ・BAR Area (4th floor)
    This lounge will also feature a new booth seating area where passengers can enjoy a drink menu featuring a selection of over 20 cocktails, wine, Japanese sake and more.
  • ・BOOTH SEATING Area (4th floor)
    For passengers who desire privacy, there will be a semi-secluded area with 24 booth seats. Booths in this section include several larger booth seats where two passengers can sit side-by-side.
  • ・KIDS ROOM (4th floor)
    In order to make the lounges more enjoyable for passengers with children, there is a kids' room where small children can play in a safe and secure environment.

ANA ARRIVAL LOUNGE
Open from 4:30 to 12:30, the "ANA ARRIVAL LOUNGE" has been designed with ultimate passenger comfort in mind. The design concept will utilize an open floor plan, creating an area surrounded by large windows. The reception will also include wheelchair accessible counter space to improve convenience for passengers with disabilities. Light meals and beverages will be served at the arrival lounge. There will be total of 18 shower rooms for the passengers to freshen up before they embark on the next leg of their journey. Out of the 18 shower rooms, two are designed to facilitate easier use for passengers who need assistance. The lounge will also feature a footbath area with a view of the ocean beyond the runway, providing a space where passengers can relax and experience a moment of tranquility at the airport.

  • * With the opening of the new lounges in Terminal 2, the ANA SUITE LOUNGE and ANA LOUNGE currently located in Terminal 3 near gate 114 will be closed on March 28, 2020.
