Welcome back to this edition of "A New Chapter of Flight," where we highlight significant milestones across ANA's global network. Last month, we were delighted to visit Indonesia, where ANA celebrated 15 years of service connecting Jakarta and Tokyo.

This journey began on Jan. 7, 2011, when ANA relaunched its route between Tokyo's Narita International Airport (NRT) and Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK).

This service marked ANA's return to Indonesia after more than a decade. ANA initially launched flights to Jakarta in 1996 before suspending the route. Today, Jakarta and Tokyo are connected by three daily round-trip flights.
To commemorate this significant milestone, the ANA CGK team held a special celebration recognizing the three pillars behind the route's success: passengers, business partners and the dedicated ANA team.

To reflect on the anniversary, we spoke with several members of the ANA CGK team about what the milestone means to them and their colleagues.

Fifteen Years in Jakarta

During the celebration, several team members who joined ANA CGK in 2011 were recognized for their dedication and strong team spirit. Among them was Siti Tri Lusiani from passenger services, who shared experiences from her 15 years of service.

"There have been many memorable moments over the years, but one that stands out was assisting a passenger with claustrophobia," Lusiani said. "By maintaining a calm presence and building trust, our team was able to support the passenger throughout the journey. It reminded us that empathy and teamwork are at the heart of great service."

Team CGK

To learn more about the Jakarta team's culture, we spoke with Tetsuma Fujii, general manager at ANA CGK, and Aki Kawata, station manager at ANA CGK.

"The greatest strengths of the Jakarta team are strong teamwork, a family-oriented culture, mutual trust and a shared commitment to ANA's vision of always providing exceptional service," Fujii said.

"This foundation of mutual respect and positivity helps us turn challenges into opportunities and deliver excellent service, ensuring success for the ANA Group," Kawata said.

Guided by the philosophy of "one team, one heart," the team continues to build a supportive and collaborative environment rooted in unity.

Reaching new heights

United as one team, the ANA CGK team looks to the future with courage, determination and a shared belief in what they can accomplish together.

"My hope is to help team members grow into the people they want to become by tackling challenges together, supporting each other like a family, and enjoying the journey along the way," Fujii said.

"By working together with confidence and trust, we will achieve even greater goals in the future," Kawata said. "We look forward to welcoming passengers traveling between Jakarta and Tokyo while continuing to create journeys that connect people and cultures."
