Pikachu Jet NH Commemorative Event in Bangkok
ANA Celebrates the Pikachu Jet NH Inaugural Flight in Bangkok
Customers, media, and influencers attended the celebratory event for the special aircraft.
On June 4, 2023, ANA Group and The Pokémon Company partnered to launch the specially painted Pikachu Jet NH in Bangkok, Thailand as part of the “Pokémon Air Adventures” project.
To commemorate the inaugural flight of the Pikachu Jet NH, the ANA Bangkok Branch hosted a celebratory event which included Thai media and influencers.
Along with media and influencers, customers were also invited through a special Facebook campaign to a media launch at Novotel Suvarnabhumi Hotel and an in-flight tour of Pikachu Jet NH.
Despite the event being held during a public holiday in Thailand, it drew wide media attention with more than 70 people in attendance. In addition to the event, and an online discussion highlighting the Pikachu Jet NH led to a lively conversation among the participants.
A customer who participated in the event commented, “I am looking forward to Pikachu Jet NH's future flights from Tokyo to Bangkok!”
We also received a comment from one of the participants noting the event as a great opportunity to realize the attractiveness of travelling to Thailand after the easing of travel restrictions due to the COVID-19.
“The pandemic is now under control, and I feel that the Pokémon event on June 4 helped to accelerate travel demand between Japan and Thailand, as well as promote the charms of Thailand!” said Chomsakorn Chaiyavut, of ANA Bangkok team. “We will continue to actively incorporate ideas unique to the local market and work more closely with the Asian regional headquarters and the ANA Group to boost the airline industry and the ANA Group."
