It's a bird, it's a plane, it's ANA FLYING HONU sea turtles
Brightening the skies once more, ANA is bringing back the Airbus A380 FLYING HONU flights featuring Hawaiian inspired sea turtles.
The passenger favorite blue, green and orange sea turtles are coming back to Hawaii this summer! On July 1, ANA will resume operations of its Airbus A380 FLYING HONU flights between Tokyo Narita and Honolulu, as international passenger demand recovers and travel restrictions are easing.
Since its inauguration flight in May 2019, the FLYING HONU has attracted travelers and plane spotters around the world with ANA's message of preserving Hawaii's great nature. Sea turtles, known as "Honu" in the Hawaiian language, symbolize good luck and prosperity. The blue "Honu" livery represents Hawaii's blue skies, the green for the crystal-clear water of the Pacific Ocean and the orange refers to the beautiful island sunsets.
FLYING HONU's popularity was not fazed by the pandemic. For the past couple of years, ANA hosted sightseeing flights, in-cabin dining events and wedding ceremonies on the aircrafts. We are thrilled passengers can finally experience the FLYING HONU again traveling between Hawaii and Japan.
Along with the return of FLYING HONU, ANA Group plans to resume operations of the ANA Express Bus: electric buses between Waikiki and Ala Moana Center.
See you all in the skies!
