Connecting the World with ANA’s Wings
BLUE WING Program Renewed!
“BLUE WING – Wings for Change” is a program where ANA supports Changemakers, members of the world’s largest social entrepreneur network ASHOKA*, that works towards solving global social issues. We started our partnership in 2014, and the program was renewed on September 5th.

When ANA customers participate in our BLUE WING program, free flights are provided to the Changemakers. By giving our customers the opportunity to support the Changemakers’ work through our program, we help raise awareness of the various social issues around the world and the programs that address them. ANA helps make supporting these efforts easy, so why not join us? Starting in September, two new members have joined the Changemakers team, for a total of six members listed below.
- ・Josh Nesbit:
- Changing healthcare in the developing world using mobile technology.
- ・Al Harris:
- Bringing a revolutionary approach of conserving marine habitats in Madagascar to Asia and the world.
- ・Mel Young:
- Launching The Homeless World Cup, where lives can change with the power of football (soccer).
- ・Elizabeth Hausler:
- Building earthquake resistant, safe housing around the world.
- ・Jack Sim:
- Providing clean, safe and convenient toilets in developing countries so that everyone can have a healthy life.
- ・Shivani Siroya:
- Offering capital and guidance to people without access to banking, giving economic opportunity for those living in poverty.

The following are three ways to participate in the BLUE WING program, where customers’ activity is calculated in WING units to provide flights to the Changemakers. (1 WING = 1 yen)
1) BLUE CLASS: Support through purchasing flight tickets
Change the way you travel that involves only yourself into helping others. When you purchase flight tickets through the BLUE WING program, a portion of the airfare will go toward supporting the Changemaker’s flights with no additional cost to you.
2) Mile Donation: Support through donating miles
Help the Changemakers who are working on projects you care about by donating your accumulated miles.
3) Share: Support by sharing on Social Media
For those who do not fly often, you can still support Changemakers by sharing articles on the BLUE WING website and social media sites online.

Your support will become the “wings” of the Changemakers and help change the world!
